Areas of Practice

Jessica specializes in all areas of private client law, including: advising upon and preparing wills; dealing with all succession and inheritance matters; winding up estates; preparing and advising upon powers of attorney (including Lasting Powers of Attorney); liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian; dealing with incapacity issues; advising on co-ownership matters; advising upon and preparing trusts.

Her clients include high net worth individuals, other lawyers, accountants, entrepreneurs, government advisors and business people.

Background

Read law at Trinity College Dublin (1993), and has an LLM from University of Limburg, Netherlands (1994). Before joining Clegg Manuel in 2004, Jessica worked in the London offices of US-based law firms, and, having practised in New York, is dual UK- and US-qualified.

Personal

Jessica is a keen (and published!) writer, and has a diploma in journalism. She has travelled extensively, and enjoys hiking and mountain-climbing. A native of Ireland, she is fluent in Gaelic (which she admits isn't much use except when travelling abroad with similarly fluent compatriots). Any free time in London is spent cooking, eating out, and writing restaurant reviews.
