Katarzyna deals with all aspects of employment law. She advises both employees and employers on all aspects of employment contracts, compromise agreements, redundancy, dismissal and discrimination claims. She advises on disputes both inside and outside the Employment Tribunal.
Katarzyna also has wide experience in dealing with commercial and property law. Her business experience includes drafting contracts, setting up companies, registering trademarks and advising on proper business medium. Her property work includes all aspects of acquisition and disposal of property and land.
Her clients range from SMEs to individuals both in the UK and in her native Poland. She collaborates with specialist law firms in Poland and helps in cross-border commercial transactions.
Background
Following completion of a BA in English & Literature from Warsaw University, Katarzyna came to the UK in 1995 to complete her Masters Degree. Through her work as a translator and interpreter for local authorities, solicitors and barristers she became interested in the law and decided to become a solicitor. She studied law at the London Metropolitan University and qualified in 2006. She worked for a City firm prior to joining Clegg Manuel in October 2008.
Personal
Having written her dissertation on Joseph Conrad, Katarzyna now prefers to read for pleasure. She also enjoys theatre and yoga. While she loves to dance, she is not yet quite ready to go on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Time permitting she would love to learn to scuba dive and play golf.
