Areas of Practice

Simon deals with all aspects of commercial property including buying and selling investment property and developments, preparing and assigning leases and organizing secured lending. His clients include well-known retailers, listed companies, high street brands, and property developers. Simon also has extensive experience in buying and selling public houses and restaurants.

Connected to his commercial property practice is advising on general business and company law matters and buying and selling. He also acts in the sale and purchase of private companies and businesses.

Background

Simon was formerly a partner at Solomon Taylor and Shaw, where he worked with Richard Clegg, with whom he founded Clegg Manuel in June 2000.

Personal

Simon is married with three young boys. While his interests include watching most sports, in reality his activities mostly involve playing footie in the park, seeing Disney films in the cinema, and - against all his better judgement - the occasional museum visit, as well as walking the dog and driving his children to and from parties. When he’s not too exhausted, he likes reading, hiking and supporting Chelsea FC.
